Position Information 

We are proud to be a comprehensive K-12 community school with over 300 students in primary and over 1300 students in secondary which allows us to offer a broad range of learning programs.  Wadalba Community School is an inclusive school with 7 Support classes and 14% of students identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.

Wadalba CS is well resourced with specialist facilities including a recording studio, aquaponics centre, industrial kitchen, agriculture plot and vocational education facilities. Our well-established Flagship programs offer students opportunities to extend themselves and take responsibility for their learning. They include AVID, STEaM, TSP and CAPA High potential and gifted education program. The school is well supported by families, community and an active P&C.

  
Specific Selection Criteria 

1. Approval to teach Mathematics Years 7-10 and Years 11 and 12.

2. Demonstrated capacity to collaborate effectively with colleagues in a large, busy and dynamic faculty with a strong culture of innovation, support and teamwork.

3. Demonstrated expertise in delivering quality teaching, programming and assessment practices and the ability to engage students through differentiated classroom practice. 

4. Capacity to implement innovative and engaging future-focused strategies informed by data (ICT) to improve educational outcomes. ​ 

  
Conditions 

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
