Teaching ServiceWestfields Sports High School (1660 students, including 75 Aboriginal enrolments and 125 students from a refugee background) includes a special intake of talented sportspersons. The school is committed to providing each student with the educational opportunities and quality resources essential for the achievement of personal excellence in scholarship, citizenship, sport and the arts. The school values innovative curriculum programs, differentiated learning, the creative implementation of technology in teaching and learning as well as accelerated programs for talented students. Westfields Sports is committed to providing each student with a supportive learning environment where they can achieve their best in all areas of their learning.
Approval to teach Mathematics 7 – 10 and Mathematics 11 – 12. Willingness to assist with Sports coaching.
Demonstrated experience in teaching senior Mathematics courses with a willingness to teach extension 1 and 2 courses.
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to contribute collaboratively to a dynamic faculty.
Demonstrated ability to integrate technology (ICT) into all aspects of professional practice to support and engage all students, including gifted and high potential students.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
