An experienced and highly effective teacher is sought to join our team of inspired and professional teachers at OLHC Hendra. Our school is committed to BCE's effective and expected teaching practices in contemporary learning environments. We actively seek professional development that will assist us to enable our students to attain high learning outcomes. We seek feedback on our teaching and use this to improve. We work collaboratively as we engage in the delivery of the Australian Curriculum. Our teachers embed IT in their classroom teaching and learning which promotes student engagement. We are seeking a teacher who is as passionate as we are.

Our Lady Help of Christians is a small family-friendly school on the northside of Brisbane, close to the Gateway Motorway and airport. The community is supportive, friendly, and deeply embedded in the Catholic ethos. The school has beautiful grounds and has developed contemporary learning facilities and engaging play spaces. The staff have a range of youth and experience. We seek to use technology to its optimum in teaching and learning, and all our students have their own devices. We are inclusive of special learning needs and cultural differences, and live our motto: Faith, Courage and Action in the spirit of Mary MacKillop.

To be successful in this role you will:
 

  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;
  • hold current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers; and
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
