Position Information 

Kyogle High School is situated in the Northern Rivers and has a current enrolment of 330 students. The school draws from a diverse community, with 10% of the student population being Aboriginal. Our welfare and student conduct practices are built on the Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) framework developed collaboratively with our partner primary schools to create a K-12 model. The executive leadership is informed by current practices and research and there is planned professional learning for all staff. The school is supported by an active P&C and enjoys excellent collegiality across partner primary schools.  The position of Music Teacher at Kyogle High School offers applicants the opportunity to join a  professional team of dedicated staff and create new opportunities for the music department.

  
Specific Selection Criteria 

- Approval to teach Music with a willingness to teach Visual Arts.

- Demonstrated ability to plan and implement innovative experiences and effective programs for students.

- Commitment to the ongoing development of the school’s extra-curricular creative and performing arts programs, including band and choir.

- Commitment to whole school priority areas and strategic directions through collaborative practices

- Highly developed organisational skills to build effective partnerships with students, parents, staff and the school community.

  
Conditions 

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
