Teaching ServiceOxley High School (1100 students) is a dynamic comprehensive high school located in the regional centre of Tamworth. Tamworth is a progressive community with affordable housing, a growing population of approximately 55000 people and easy plane connections to Sydney and Brisbane. Oxley High School has a close connection to the community through academic, social, sporting and cultural achievements. It is renowned for producing students of national and international recognition and consistently high HSC achievement. Historically, well in excess of 70% of the HSC cohort will attend university. Oxley High School offers a broad range of electives from Years 7-12 including Accelerated Mathematics (8-11), Languages, Extension English and Mathematics, Drama, Dance, Visual Arts, Agriculture, Music, Gifted and Talented Sport and Theatre. A key feature of the school is the commitment of students, staff and community to an expansive curriculum, including extra-curricular activities, which allows students to achieve to their personal and academic best. Oxley High School has a partnership with UNE and is considered a Centre of Excellence in education, has a middle and senior school and Clontarf Academy.

Demonstrated ability to co-design and deliver innovative teaching practice including effective implementation of technology.
Knowledge of the cultural and educational needs of Aboriginal students and a commitment to improving their educational outcomes.
