0.4 FTE, permanent  Salary: negotiable, dependent on experience and qualifications  

The Academy would like to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced part time A level Biology Teacher to join the Academy from 1 September 2018.  It is desirable that candidates have previous experience of teaching Biology to A level, plus have the enthusiasm and ambition to drive progress and outcomes for learners.    

The successful candidate is expected to carry out the professional duties of a teacher as circumstances may require and in accordance with Academy policies, under the direction of the Headteacher and to uphold the ethos of the Academy at all times.  

  Chapeltown Academy is North Sheffield’s highest performing provider of Sixth Form Education – 100% A level pass rate - August 2017. Open since September 2014, we are also Sheffield’s first Free School.  Our staff is a small team of dedicated and passionate individuals who add value to the Academy in both academic terms and through involvement in learning and success beyond the classroom and teamwork.  Our permanent premises were newly opened in September 2016, with purpose built indoor and outdoor facilities.  Our catering facilities are 5* rated.

Chapeltown Academy is a mixed, non-denominational, sixth-form free school located in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. The school offers A-level and AS-level courses to its students, achieving pass rates above the national average.

Chapeltown Academy was the answer for a city that lacked an excellent and focused academic institution for students wishing to pursue sixth-form studies.
