As a 16-19 Sixth Form College we can offer an exciting opportunity to specialise in Post 16 delivery of this popular subject in a Maths department that achieves excellent results, with Level 3 VA scores for A-level Maths last year significantly above national averages and GCSE Maths resit pass rates over 60%.   The college has great success in offering Further Maths and there is a commitment to introduce a 1-year Core Maths qualification for students in 2019-20.  

Thomas Rotherham College provides high quality A-level, Level 3 Applied General and Level 2 courses to over 1400 students.  Maths is part of the Maths, IT and Computing Faculty.  Maths is a popular subject and as a result we are anticipating 9-10 groups of A-level Maths next year, alongside our other Maths courses.  

We are looking for an outstanding teacher of A-level Maths. An ability to teach any of Further / Core / GCSE and or L2 Maths desirable would be an advantage.  The successful candidate will be dedicated to supporting all students, they will have high expectations and a growth mindset for students and for themselves. Candidates will be able to demonstrate experience of getting the best out of students, both in lessons and through the setting of challenging and engaging independent study.  

The position represents a fantastic opportunity to specialise in a welcoming and supportive Post 16 environment.  As a college, we are committed to continuous professional development and as a new member of staff you will receive a comprehensive programme of induction to the college, regular internal and/or external training opportunities and support from the Head of Faculty and Assistant Heads of Faculty.
