Required from September 2017 we are looking to appoint an innovative and enthusiastic Teacher of Art/3D with exceptional subject knowledge to join our lively, highly successful faculty. The appointed candidate will be a dynamic, hardworking teacher and a strong team player.

The successful candidate would be joining a good academy with a highly effective and supportive team, where innovation is encouraged and supported. 
Being the founding member of the Impact Multi Academy Trust and the first 4-16 all-through school in Calderdale, we can offer excellent development opportunities for all of our staff. We currently have 1047 students learning within the academy, and this will grow to 1420 by 2020 when our primary phase is full.

We are a values driven organisation committed to living out our values of Heart, Mind and Communication, driven by our passion for all-through education and improving social mobility. 

Successful candidates must have the ability to teach Art & Design across the age and ability range. Knowledge and experience of teaching Design Technology, Ceramics, Photography and Painting would be desirable to the role.

The Halifax Academy is a high performing 4-16 all-through Academy in Calderdale, West Yorkshire. It was inspected by Ofsted in September 2017 being judged as good in all areas. Outcomes are outstanding at KS4 and place the academy in the top 15% of all schools nationally with regard to progress. Early Years Provision is good.

The Halifax Academy is a founding member of Impact Education Multi Academy Trust. Established in 2016, Impact is a values driven organisation with a belief that working collaboratively and sharing ideas can achieve real impact on the education and life chances of children and young people.
