Teacher of Art and Design

This post is fixed term, covering maternity leave until June 2026. 

St Hild's Church of England School is seeking to appoint a Teacher with excellent subject knowledge to join our creative industries department and teach classes across Key Stages 3 and 4. 

This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution to improving learning experiences for our young people, whilst also raising attainment. The successful candidate will predominantly teach Art with some Design Technology included. 

We are looking for a colleague who has: 

• BA Degree in the subject area (or related to the subject area) or relevant in depth knowledge of subject area.
• Qualified teacher status
• Thorough understanding of how young people learn and the core features of an effective curriculum.
• Successful track record as a teacher that demonstrates high quality teaching and learning and positive impact on learner outcomes.
