  • The ability to motivate students and achieve excellent results;
  • Excellent organisational and ICT skills;

  • The capacity to work collaboratively as part of a team;
  • A passion for the subject and the ability to share this with young people.

The Trust offers exceptionally pleasant working environments. Our school sites offer a calm and safe place, where staff and students work hard, achieve a great deal and enjoy excellent working relationships.

The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all its staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All post holders are subject to satisfactory clearances prior to taking up an offer of employment.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Spalding Academy is an oversubscribed non-selective mixed 11-16 secondary school and joined South Lincolnshire Academies Trust in September 2016.

  • The school has over 1,400 students with a pupil admission number (PAN) of 300 – this has recently increased from 270 and is set to increase to 320.
  • The school is performing WELL ABOVE national average and is in the top 5% of all schools nationally (based on a Progress 8 score of +0.67 in 2023).
  • It is consistently in the top two non-selective secondary schools in Lincolnshire and outperforms local grammar schools.
  • Spalding Academy is the top performing secondary school in Spalding.
  • The last Ofsted inspection was in 2019, where the school was graded Good in every category under SLAT leadership. Prior to joining the Trust in 2016, Spalding Academy was one of only 19 schools in the whole of the UK graded as Inadequate in every category.
  • The school is currently benefiting from capital development projects with additional work planned over the next few years. Spalding Academy has already had a new 8 classroom block building, large astro pitch, PE changing room block, music block with recording facilities and performing arts rooms plus refurbishment of IT and science classrooms.

Join our highly successful Trust

South Lincolnshire Academies Trust has over 550 teaching and support staff working in the four schools (Bourne Academy, Spalding Academy, Giles Academy and Cowley Academy) that make up our highly successful Trust.

There has never been a better time to become part of our team with the rapid growth of the schools, where student numbers are increasing due to local demand and there is an expansion in our curriculum and facilities.

We pride ourselves on creating an environment that benefits from high staff retention as we offer realistic routes for progression for both teaching and support staff. We nurture and reward our staff and will help you develop and succeed.

Our Trust ethos is Aspire, Challenge, Achieve and this is embedded in everything we do for our students and staff. This common goal reflects why our schools are so popular as our students and staff work towards the same objectives.

Not only are we successful, but the working environment is a rewarding and enjoyable place to be.
