Tes is currently supporting a friendly and supportive Independent Boys' School, based in Hertfordshire. The school is looking to add a Teacher of Art & Design to its progressive and supportive Department starting September 2022.

"This is a large independent school located in the village of Elstree, Hertfordshire. Founded in 1690, the all-through school educates around 1,200 boys aged 5-18, all of whom are day pupils.

They have an exciting opportunity for a teacher to be a part of developing a busy and successful Art & Design Department, where pupils are bright and highly motivated. The successful candidate will be a passionate, engaging teacher with the ability to deliver Art & Design from KS3 to A-Level. They will ensure all pupils make excellent progress through developing creative, practical, analytical and critical skills while encouraging an enquiring and independent approach to ideas development. This position would suit teachers at any stage of their career, including an NQT. Involvement in the wider life of this outstandingly successful North London boys’ school is expected."

The school expects:

• A UK teaching qualification such as PGCE/PGDE, SCITT, BEd or MEd with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• a relevant Art & Design or a related subject

• experience in delivering Art & Design up to A-level pushing and engaging learners to progress within the subject
