Applications from NQTs and more experienced teachers welcome.
Due to the growing number of students wishing to study Art and Graphics at our school, we are looking to expand our teaching team by recruiting a colleague, able to deliver Art, 3 Dimensional Design and Graphic Design to at least KS4 level and potentially A-Level. We would particularly welcome applications from candidates with a 3D specialism, as we are keen to expand the opportunities we currently offer for students to experience modelling with mixed media, sculpture and multimedia design. The candidate would join our Design faculty, which encompasses the disciplines of Art, Photography, Graphics, 3D Design, Resistant Materials and Food Technology. In recent years, the department has enjoyed excellent outcomes and healthy student recruitment onto KS4 and 5 courses. We are currently developing our curricular offer by expanding into printmaking and clay work. This is a great opportunity to join a successful department, with strong, established leadership and a shared passion for really bringing art, design and technology to life for students. Applications from both NQTs and more experienced teachers are warmly welcomed.
Easthampstead Park Community School is a vibrant, cutting edge learning environment. Our school culture marries unswervingly high academic expectations with excellent pastoral care and support. We believe a healthy three-way partnership between parent, teacher and student is essential to effective learning, and are proud of our setting and local community. Teaching and learning is at the very heart of our school and drives everything we do. Our whole school expectation that students and teachers alike never stop learning means that staff quickly develop their practice and progress in their career. Our PPA time is deliberately generous, aiming to give our teachers a chance to maintain a healthy work-life balance and build strong departments. We also allocate significant funding every year to professional development, and offer the chance to contribute to working groups on teaching and learning and literacy.
This is a very exciting time to join us. In recent years, we have made excellent progress, and at our last OFSTED inspection (June 2016), we were rated as ‘good’ in all areas.
We aspire to be rated ‘outstanding’, driven by a core belief that all of our students deserve nothing but the best possible teaching and support in order to be happy, healthy and successful. We aim to deliver the best quality teaching and learning in a school where staff and students have respect for, and pride in themselves, their school and their community.
If you feel you have the necessary skills, mind-set and determination to join us on our journey towards ‘outstanding,’ we would very much like to hear from you. Visits to the school prior to application are warmly welcomed.
