This is an opportunity for a creative, inspirational and dynamic Teacher of Art to play a key role making an enthusiastic contribution to the activities of a flourishing Art Department.
Art at Bromley High is exciting, forward-thinking and self-critical and is a popular subject both at GCSE and A Level with students achieving excellent results. Our artists are set challenging work, and we do not shy away from work which is technically or conceptually difficult. The Art Department cares about students as individuals and seeks to develop warm relationships between staff and students.
You will join a department which is housed in superb, purpose-built accommodation, consisting of two large ground floor studios with a mezzanine gallery area, an adjacent darkroom and a ceramics/3D studio with clay room, kiln and preparatory room.
You will need excellent, up-to-date subject knowledge with a through awareness of current issues, initiatives and thinking in education and notable expertise in teaching and learning. A clear understanding of the potential for ICT in enhancing teaching and learning in Art is equally important.
