This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join an outstanding and ambitious team in a brand-new premium school in the home of the pharaohs, Egypt. King’s School The Crown is the only premium international school in the region to offer an integrated early years provision, providing education for students from 3 months to 18 years old. The school will open in August 2023, initially from Foundation Stage up to Key Stage 3.

Reporting to the founding Performing Arts Coordinator, we are seeking an outstanding, committed and energetic founding Art Teacher to join King’s School The Crown to start in August 2023. The candidate must be a team player and must have a passion to achieve the highest levels of learning and a culture of excellence for themselves and their students.

We are looking for a reflective practitioner who:

• Places the individual child at the centre of everything that they do
• Has the ability to demonstrate responsive teaching which promotes excellent progress and outcomes                  
• Is able to reflect systematically on the effectiveness of learning in their classrooms which informs future planning and pedagogy                   
• Always demonstrate professional regard for the ethos and practices of the Inspired Education group and King’s School The Crown, maintaining high professional standards, including attendance and punctuality                                 
• Treats students with dignity, build relationships rooted in mutual respect for the rights of others and listen to the voice of the student
• Can contribute to the design and provision of an engaging curriculum.
• Can share areas of passion and experience within the extra-curricular programme within the school.                
• Models the positive expectations, values and behaviours expected of every student                  
• Is able to use all relevant data and tracking systems to monitor student progress, identify student underperformance and inform planning and interventions.

Please refer to the specific job description for the requirements and standards for each role. Particularly of interest in successful applicants will be prior experience in delivering an English language curriculum within a second language context.
