We have recently been awarded National Support School status which will create opportunities for the staff here to work with other schools that find themselves in need of support. We have been ranked by Ofsted as ‘Outstanding’ since 2010.

We became a Multi Academy Trust from 1 April and as the Vector Learning Trust will be looking to become one of the leading education providers in the South West. This is an opportunity for the right person to come and join us on our journey. We are looking for someone who shares our vision to improve the life chances of the young people in the communities we serve and the passion to really want to make a difference.

We are looking to appoint a qualified teacher,  who is passionate and knowledgeable about their subject and possesses the ability to teach consistently at an outstanding level across key stages 3, 4 and 5.

Holyrood Academy is a co-educational, non-denominational secondary with sixth form in Chard, Somerset. As of the most recent inspection there were 1,229 students on the school roll, of which 146 were studying in the sixth form. The town of Chard has a population of 13,000, and is 15 miles southwest of Yeovil on the A30 road. Holyrood has a reputation for district success in sports, particularly in Rugby and Football.

The aim at Holyrood is to ensure that every student is supported through their journey, motivated and appropriately challenged to achieve their full potential.

Holyrood Academy's Music Department has an inspirational extra-curricular programme for students to participate in. As well as the whole school choir, there is also a more specialised Chamber Choir, which together with the Swing Band and Orchestra, the students have entertained parents and the community locally, nationally and internationally on their music tours to destinations such as France, Ireland and The Netherlands.
