About the Role and You

Contract type: Part-time (0.6), permanent

Salary: Dependent on experience

Start date: September 2025

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching A-level, including Textiles, Graphic Design and Fine Art and photography
  • Be able to teach art from Year 7 to Year 13.
  • Planning, delivering, and assessing engaging Art lessons.
  • Foster a learning environment where every pupil feels valued and nurtured.
  • Bringing learning to life with hands-on projects and interactive activities.
  • Empower students to think creatively, and embrace the endless possibilities of art.
  • Lead and inspire a team of talented art educators, fostering a collaborative and supportive culture of creativity and innovation.


About You

We're seeking a visionary and dedicated Teacher of Art who:

  • Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Art or a related field and Has QTS (essential).
  • Have successful teaching experience at secondary level, ideally including experience in independent education
  • Understand the theory and practice of effective teaching and learning
  • Understand the importance of high expectations and equality of access for all students, and of being a tutor
  • Have knowledge of product design, and examination specifications at GCSE and A level, and of writing lesson plans, developing resources and assessing students' work
  • Has experience designing and implementing inspirational and engaging schemes of work.
  • Is flexible, adaptable, and enthusiastic and has a passion for fostering creativity.
