Teacher of Art KS2-KS4

We are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Art (KS4-KS2).  We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills, who is enthusiastic, efficient and well organised and can enthuse the learning of children with Specific Learning Difficulties for whom Art and Design provides an opportunity to achieve without high literacy demands. Art and Design is a strength in our school. In 2019 all year 11 pupils achieved Art and Design (Fine Art) grades 4 or above with 33% of pupils achieving grades 7-9. The role will also require acting as a form tutor which will involve work with the school’s specialist literacy provision for which the school will provide the appropriate training. The school is outstanding (Ofsted 2017) and the pupils are very well behaved and are eager to learn to overcome their difficulties.
