Tarleton Academy is a vibrant and ambitious school with a culture of high expectations. An exciting opportunity has arisen at Tarleton Academy to become part of a highly successful and popular Art department. We are seeking to appoint a confident, creative and enthusiastic Art teacher to contribute fully to the future development of the Art Department, teaching year 7 and 8. The successful candidate will join a forward thinking team within the Creative Faculty, with a relentless focus upon raising achievement and engagement in learning. 

To be successful, you will:

· Have the capacity to raise attainment through motivating and inspiring students

· Help foster a culture of high expectations and achievement within the department

· Have drive, enthusiasm, warmth and humour

· Love the subject

· Work as a team with total commitment to developing an innovative and creative curriculum

· Have experience of teaching Art at KS3

As a teacher in the Faculty you will be involved in reviewing and developing schemes of work and resources, addressing gaps in attainment of underachieving students and ensuring progression for the classes you teach.
