The Role

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, creative and outstanding practitioner of Art who is confident teaching across all abilities and Key stages.  Excellent subject knowledge and proven ability to engage students is essential. 

The successful candidate would be a part of a thriving and forward thinking art community, which is thoroughly dedicated to every single student achieving their creative potential. Our Art students are highly regarded when applying to further education due to the fantastic commitment to the subject, inspired by an engaging, contemporary curriculum and outstanding teaching.  

The Department

We have a very strong and consistent uptake across the specialisms, as well as an energetic and busy extracurricular programme. Options offered at GCSE are Art and Design or Photography with students commencing studies in Year 9.  Our chosen exam board is AQA and last year’s fantastic exam results were 95 % A*-C in Art and Design and 91% A*-C in Photography.  Examples of students work can be seen on   artchorltonhigh.tumblr.com or our twitter account is @CHS_artwork.
