We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and proactive practitioner of Art with the ability to teach at all Key Stages including GCSE Art & Design, A Level Fine Art with the possibility of Graphic Communication. Applications are welcome from both experienced teachers and ECTs. We have a proven track record of support and development and an excellent ECT package is available.
You will have the opportunity to work in our excellent purpose-built, 6th Form Art Studio. This is an amazing Art Space solely for the use of A level Art students and includes Sculpture, Printmaking, Digital and exhibition facilities. We have worked very hard to develop an outstanding A Level Art provision offering both Fine Art and Graphics Communication. The ability to teach A Level Fine Art including skills in painting & drawing, sculpture and printmaking is essential.
We use well-developed Schemes of Work across the Department but you will also have the freedom to fully utilise your specialisms and expertise where appropriate as we believe our Department should be equally enriched by your contribution. Our Art Department Instagram account (@art.st.bons) has lots of examples of the type of work produced by our students as well as a tour of some of our arts facilities. The role will include planning, assessment, and the delivery of a broad extra-curricular provision at all Key Stages.
