Job overview

TGGS is a girls’ 11-18 selective Academy which has the core aim of preparing our students for their next steps in life.

Our school vision is:

To equip students for a future in which they have the academic qualifications, character skills and high self-esteem to make decisions that lead to long, happy and content lives.

The Role

An opportunity has arisen to be a part-time teacher of Art in our vibrant department within our award-winning school. Art, Craft and Design is taught to all students in Key Stage 3 and is an option at key Stage 4 and 5. It is a popular choice and highly achieving in a whole school and national context.

As Art Educators, we are firm and resolute in our belief that Art, Craft and Design is not merely for the 'gifted' minority who are seen to have a natural flair for the subject - rather, through demonstration, practice and positive encouragement, it is a subject that is accessible for all.

If you are an energetic and inspirational teacher then join a forward thinking and thriving department committed to nurturing a love of Art in our students.

Part-time hours to be agreed with the successful candidate.

For further information about our Art Department please see the attached summary:

If you would like to discuss the role or visit the school before applying, please contact Sarah Forster, Headteacher via lrumbelow@tggsacademy.org (Headteacher’s PA). For questions about the application process, please contact our HR department (personnel@tggsacademy.org)
