Arthur Mellows Village College is a vibrant, oversubscribed comprehensive College, situated on the outskirts of Peterborough. Ofsted graded the College as ‘Outstanding’ for a second time in December 2014.   At Arthur Mellows Village College:

  • Students are well behaved and keen to learn.
  • Last year 61% of students achieved a Grade 5+ in English and Maths and 83% a Grade 4+ 
  • Staff are friendly and supportive.
  • Staff are provided with a laptop.
  • New members of staff receive a dedicated programme of support.
  • The school has recently been redeveloped providing a pleasant working environment.

  • A good gym is available for staff to use after hours.

The successful candidate must be a highly committed and enthusiastic Teacher of Art and Textiles who has the ability to teach GCSE and A Level. Staff are friendly and supportive and committed to ensuring all students achieve their potential.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding teacher.  The position would suit an ECT or an experienced classroom teacher, full or part time hours would be considered.  This is a real opportunity to make a difference with our highly motivated student body.

Arthur Mellows Village College is a vibrant, oversubscribed 11-18 comprehensive, situated in a very pleasant rural village between Peterborough and Stamford. Ofsted graded the College as ‘Outstanding’ for a second time in December 2014.  Behaviour is excellent and students are keen to learn, 

  • 70% of all level 2 qualifications (GCSE’s) are awarded at the equivalent of grade 4 or above.  
  • Over 20% of all level 2 qualifications (GCSE’s) are awarded at the equivalent of grade 7 or above.
  • At A level over 29% of grades are A* or A.  
  • KS5 vocational students achieved over 65% at Distinction*/Distinction
