One of the leading Boys’ Grammar schools requires an enthusiastic and committed full- time teacher from September 2017, either an NQT or a teacher with a few years’ experience.
Altrincham Grammar School for Boys is a six-form entry 11-18 selective Academy School. It caters for boys who have been selected for grammar school education from a wide area of South Manchester and North Cheshire. Pupils travel to the School from Wilmslow, Knutsford, Lymm, Warrington, Sale, Urmston, Old Trafford and Cheadle Hulme.
The academic results are outstanding and they place the School in the top 50 maintained schools. Our GCSE results are strong in respect of A*/A grades and our ‘A’ level results in respect of A*/A/B grades. The 2007 Ofsted Report graded the School as ‘outstanding’.
- The successful candidate must have the ability to teach Art at KS3, KS4 and to A level. Our Sixth Form numbers for next year look like being our biggest ever – potentially 27 across Y12 and Y13.
- The post will offer excellent opportunities to teach able and responsive students within an academic school and to further develop the very already successfully established teaching of Art.
