Teacher of ASN (Job Share) - Additional Support Base

The Additional Support Base is an Authority Service which offers support for children and young people with Social Emotional and Behavioural needs and is part of the Schools Service provision in Shetland. It is staffed by teachers and Learning Support workers. The department is situated in Lerwick near the old Anderson High School site. While also offering Outreach support to schools, The Additional Support Base provides daytime placements for young people who are mostly of Secondary school age. Young people attend for all or part of a school day depending on their individual requirements and this can be as a full time alternative to mainstream.

• The grade of this post is TCHR
• Rate of pay shown in the advert is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance of 1.3112 per hour
• Permanent Part Time post for 14.0 Hours per Week
• Preferred candidates will be required to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update prior to a formal offer of employment being made
• You must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) prior to starting in post
