We seek an enthusiastic and inspiring biologist with a good degree who will relish the challenge of teaching very bright students in this outstanding department in one of the nation’s top Grammar Schools. Biology is one of the most popular choices for A-Level students, with currently six sets in Year 12 and five sets in Year 13. Most of these students will move on to Russell Group Universities, including Oxford and Cambridge, with many reading Medicine, Biomedical Sciences and Biological Sciences. You will be joining a dynamic, cohesive and well-resourced faculty, and will be expected to teach Biology at GCSE and A-Level. Excellent subject knowledge and a commitment to keeping abreast of new ideas in the field of Biological Sciences will be important, as will your ability to challenge and inspire young people to enjoy the fascination of this subject and to pursue individual research into areas of interest.
This position would suit either an NQT, or an experienced teacher looking to further their career. Leadership opportunities and corresponding remuneration are available for the right applicant.
