Thomas Whitham Sixth Form is situated on a co-located modern purpose built campus designed to meet the needs of our students. We are seeking to appoint an outstanding, innovative and dynamic Biology Teaching Specialist who will be able to deliver our Advanced Level courses as well as our enrichment and extra curricular programme. A commitment to working with our 11-16 partner colleges in the local area is also expected from all our staff.
Salaries will be at an appropriate point on the Sixth Form Colleges pay spine, which ranges from £23,643 - £38,473.

About Thomas Whitham Sixth Form
Thomas Whitham is a non-denominational, co-educational sixth form facility in Burnley, Lancashire. As of the most recent inspection there were 411 students on the school roll, who are taught between the ages of 16-20. The school is named for a local figure who was awarded a Victoria Cross for heroic action during the First World War. The school is based alongside Barden Primary School, Hollygrove School, Reedley Hallows Nursery School and Neighbourhood Centre. The college is situated on the Burnley Campus, which delivers a wide range of extended services through community facilities including a sports hall, fitness suite, dance/drama studio, a faith centre and a cafe.

Thomas Whitham Sixth Form is committed to playing an integral role in the creation of a vision for learning in Burnley, Pendle and surrounding areas. The college is a participant of the Burnley Learning Partnership launched by the Building Schools for the Future Project, working collaboratively to elevate success.
