Teacher of Biology

Emanuel SchoolWandsworth

This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving science department and play a key role inspiring our pupils to fulfil their potential in biology and continue to achieve excellent results.

The role would suit a teacher who can deliver enthusiastic and engaging biology teaching and encourage in all pupils a curiosity about the natural world and equip them with the knowledge and skills to describe and understand it. You will deliver excellence in teaching, based on your deep knowledge of biology, and create a challenging and stimulating classroom climate that will motivate pupils to perform to the best of their abilities.

As well as delivering excellent classroom teaching, all staff at Emanuel undertake a pastoral role as a form tutor and get involved in the wider life of the school through co-curricular activities and outreach programmes.

We are ideally looking for someone with good experience, looking to develop their skills in our school. A biology or biology-related degree with high honours is essential, as is extensive high level knowledge and ability in biology and the sciences.

You can find more detailed information about a role within the school in our 'Working at Emanuel' guide.
