We seek to appoint an outstanding teacher of Boys Physical Education who is dynamic, enthusiastic and ambitious. The successful applicant will be passionate about inspiring our students and be a team player to work collaboratively with colleagues.

Our department is well resourced and offers a wide range of courses including GCSE, A Level and BTEC Sport. We also offer an extensive extra-curricular programme. Commitment to both of these areas is essential. We are a popular subject at KS4 and 5 and we follow the AQA specification at GCSE and A Level and have a personalised curriculum at KS3.

We also offer BTEC qualifications at KS4 and 5. This post provides exciting opportunities for either an experienced teacher or an NQT. We offer a full support and induction programme for all new staff and commitment to continued professional development.

The successful applicant will be:

  • Qualified to deliver the PE curriculum across Key Stages 3 – 5 to the highest standard
  • An ability to teach examination PE is an advantage
  • An interest and ability in football is an advantage but not a necessity and an all rounder would just be as advantageous
  • A well-qualified individual
  • An excellent communicator who is able to meet deadlines
  • A reflective practitioner who is willing to take an active role in the wider life of the school
  • A strong team player with a "can do" attitude Passionate about the success of students, the department and the school.

Tring School is popular and over-subscribed, serving the town of Tring and the surrounding villages. It is a mixed Church of England all-ability school, 1500 on roll, over 300 Post-16.
