Wetherby High School is a forward thinking school in a semi-rural area of North Leeds. Our ethos is based upon inclusive and restorative values that we believe best allow every student the opportunity to realise their full potential.  Over recent months the school has undergone a period of significant change and is embarking on an ambitious programme of improvement and growth.

We are now looking to appoint a dynamic, innovative and skilful teacher to teach boys' PE, who is able to demonstrate:

  • An understanding of, and commitment to, an inclusive school ethos, working restoratively and ensuring the well-being of each child.
  • A successful track record of raising attainment and progress for pupils of all abilities.
  • A passion for mathematics, interested in inspiring pupils and
  • A wish to join a vibrant, forward-thinking and successful team.
  • A commitment to providing a highly effective learning environment and a willingness to positively embrace change, challenge and opportunities.

About Wetherby High School

Wetherby High School is a mixed, non-denominational foundation school and for students aged 11-16.  The school is located in the heart of Wetherby, in a semi-rural area of north Leeds.  The school is a growing school, with almost 640 students on roll.

The former secondary modern school was built on its current site in 1966, and became a foundation school in 2010.  The school falls under the remit of Leeds City Council.

Wetherby High School is an inclusive school, deeply committed to ensuring the educational experience for each child unlocks their full potential.  As such our ambitions for them stretch way beyond their exam results and their time with us. We adopt a relationship and restorative approach to school improvement, striving for all staff and children to feel they are connected to and belong to the school community. It is through these relationships that we can work with each other to provide high challenge and high support to staff and students.

We are delighted that the school will soon have a new state of the art building for the school community to enjoy.
