We are looking to appoint a well-qualified, talented, and energetic teacher of Boys’ PE starting 21st April 2025. We are looking for a full-time staff member.
At Bedford, our vision for the Physical Education department is to foster a lifelong passion for sport, physical activity, and overall well-being. We are committed to developing students’ physical skills, confidence, and teamwork while emphasizing the importance of maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle. Through a broad and engaging curriculum, we equip students with the knowledge and practical skills to make informed choices about their fitness and well-being, both now and in the future.
In Key Stages 3 and 4, students follow a structured and inclusive curriculum that builds on fundamental movement skills, promoting progression in both individual and team sports. Our program develops physical literacy, tactical awareness, and resilience, ensuring that all students, regardless of ability, have the opportunity to thrive.
At Key Stage 4, we offer a comprehensive study of Sports Science and GCSE Physical Education, following the OCR specification. This prepares students for further education and careers in sport, health, and fitness.
Beyond the classroom, we take pride in our vibrant extracurricular programme, providing students with extensive opportunities to train, compete, and refine their skills. Our diverse range of sports clubs, inter-school fixtures, and interform competitions ensures that all students can participate and enjoy sport at a level that suits them.
Above all, our goal is to inspire a lifelong appreciation for physical activity while instilling the values of teamwork, perseverance, and respect, both in sport and in life. We seek to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic staff member who shares our vision and is committed to delivering an outstanding PE experience for all students.
