Peter Symonds is located in Winchester. It is a vibrant sixth form college which has been rated by Ofsted as ‘outstanding’ in every respect. Our unofficial College motto has long been ‘Counting in Ones’ and we work hard to make this a supportive and friendly place to study, with every student treated as an individual. Not only is this at the heart of our work with our students, but we also strive to support and value our staff in the same way.
We seek a new staff member to teach BTEC IT in the first instance. You will join an established team which has an emphasis on collaboration and the sharing of resources to support over two hundred students who study an IT based subject at the College. The Computer Science and IT teams cross teach and an ability to teach computer science would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will have a good honours degree in IT/Computer Science or a related area and ideally have experience of teaching the subject at level 3. This post is, however, open to both experienced and newly qualified teachers. More important than your experience is your knowledge and your enthusiasm inspire our students. As part of your full time commitment, you will also have a tutor group.
Closing date: 12 noon on Wednesday 23 January 2019
Interview date: Wednesday 6 February 2019
