We are looking for four qualified Science teachers to join the successful Science team across our campuses at New City College. 

Teacher of BTEC Science X 4 Posts

£26,430 - £41,552 per annum 

FTE: permanent full time

Campus: Tower Hamlets, Redbridge and Havering Sixth Form

Duties might include teaching Biology or Chemistry for BTEC Diplomas in Applied Science from Entry Level up to Level 3 to young people and adults. This will include teaching one evening class at our Tower Hamlets campus.

The successful candidate should have experience of teaching BTEC Applied Science syllabus up to level 3, and a commitment to vocational science. However, we welcome applications from NQTs who may have limited experience due to starting on their journey in education. You will also be a personal tutor to a group of students on a Science programme.

The successful candidate will teach and manage learning on a range of full-time Applied Science courses, prepare for and carry out, formative and summative assessment of students, including exams, tests and coursework and be an outstanding teacher who shares the College’s passion for teaching, learning and success. You will join a highly successful and experienced Science team at NCC with overall achievement rates of 95%.

Educated to degree level in Science, with a recognised teaching qualification you will be able to demonstrate a track record of success in delivering teaching and learning and have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. Newly qualified teachers are welcome to apply.
