[Part time - 18.5 hours per week] 



We are looking for a Teacher to join our Academic teaching team at JWC to deliver A level Business.



You will be a dedicated and motivated professional ready to provide an innovative, dynamic and responsive delivery to meet the needs of our students.



You will have teaching experience in Business Studies together with industry experience within a Business Environment. You will be responsible for planning schemes of work and lessons, setting and marking assignments, keeping student portfolios up to date and entering student data on our administrative system. Excellent administration and interpersonal skills together with a commitment to working effectively as part of a team are also essential in this role.



The college also offers GCSE Business and A Level Economics as courses for its students within the Humanities provision.


In addition, you will be qualified at degree level in Business/Economics and hold a recognised Level 5/6 teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) or working towards achieving this.

Derby College is a large general further education college with four sites in or near the city of Derby. It supports around 26,000 learners, who choose from more than 1,000 full-time and part-time apprenticeship, A-level, BTEC and NVQ courses.   

Derby College was established as a single institution in 2002 by merging three further education colleges: Mackworth Tertiary College, Wilmorton Tertiary College and Broomfield Agricultural College. A merger between South East Derbyshire College and Derby College was approved in 2010. Heavy investment has been made by the college in its teaching and learning facilities, from the fully equipped teaching kitchens at the Roundhouse campus to the high-tech science labs at the Joseph Wright Centre and the Equestrian Centre at the Broomfield Hall campus.
