We are seeking a self-motivated, creative and inspiring teacher who has experience in curriculum planning and delivery of Business across Key Stages 4 and 5. You will be an outstanding teacher who is passionate about your subject and able to inspire and motivate students to learn, along with collaborate with other teachers in the delivery of an engaging curriculum. Experience in A Level Accountancy and/or Economics would be an advantage.   

The successful candidate will be joining one of our most popular and consistently high achieving departments, with approximately half of the Sixth Form choosing Business subjects as one of their A Levels and 40% of students at Key Stage 4 as one of their GCSE options. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody who is looking to develop their career by experiencing a wide range of courses and working with large cohorts of students. 

The Academy is looking for someone who has:

• Excellent subject knowledge in Business and a background knowledge in Accountancy or Economics would be an advantage;

• A track record of inspiring students in Business, enabling them to achieve outstanding results;

• Inspiring and creative ideas to make Business accessible to a range of abilities;

• The ability to understand and work with assessment data to monitor and intervene as appropriate with students.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Teaching Business (and related subjects) across Key Stages 4 and 5;

• Working with others to improve outcomes and life chances for every learner in each teaching group benchmarked against national criteria and data;

• Delivering, planning and preparing lessons in accordance with the planned curriculum;

• Contribution to curriculum design within Business;

• Working as part of an exceptional team that ensures creative and innovative learning and teaching occurs in every lesson;

• Being a Form Tutor.
