Teacher of Business Studies & Accounting - 0.6 FTE (Teachers Mainscale / UPS), commencing January 2018
Heathcote School is an 11 – 18 School 8 form entry school (from September 2017) that has a new Headteacher and a new vision. The school is on a rapid journey of improvement ensuring the ‘good’ status (Ofsted 2014) is built on and for the school to become ‘outstanding’ in all areas.

We are looking for a qualified and talented Teacher of Business Studies and Accounting - 0.6 FTE (Mainscale / UPS) to teach across the ability range at GCSE, BTEC Level 3 and A Level from January 2018. You will be working with and supported by an experienced team of outstanding teachers and leaders.
The Enterprise Faculty is a very strong department with established links in the Financial Sector; many students successfully secure Higher Level Apprenticeships with these companies and significant numbers read these subjects at University. Results in 2017 at BTEC and A Level were significantly above the national average.
Due to the popularity and success of this Faculty, there is the possibility of this role increasing to a full-time position towards the end of the academic year.

As an NQT or Beginner Teacher at Heathcote School, you will be supported by experienced colleagues on a range of issues relating to planning, teaching and assessing with a dedicated mentor and a skills development program that will provide you with the experience required to be a successful practitioner in education.
