Teacher of Business Studies & Economics

The role

We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified candidate to teach Business Studies and Economics. The person appointed will be expected to contribute to and play a positive part in the life of the school.

The Teacher of  Business Studies and Economics  is expected to keep up to date with developments in the area and, as part of the  Business Studies and Economics team, contribute to continuous curriculum development and the preparation of department resources under the guidance of the SLT.

About you

The successful candidate will:        

Understand the theory and practice of effective teaching and learning  

Support and motivate students, teachers and other school employees  

Promote a school culture which is positive, purposeful and professional     

Understand the importance of high expectations and equality of access for all students, and of being a tutor         

Have knowledge of National Curriculum requirements at KS3 and KS4

Be able to work as part of a team and to develop and maintain positive relationships with all staff         

Have a good level of ICT skills
