Outcomes at the Academy at Key Stage 4 are in the top 8% of all schools nationally with a Progress 8 Score of +0.71. In 2024, St Mark’s Church of England Academy became the fourth best performing school for A Level outcomes in the country, with a progress 8 score of +0.88.

We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and experienced teacher of Business and Economics who can deliver an enriching curriculum at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, whilst raising the profile of both subjects across the Academy. This is a unique opportunity to help grow and develop the Economics and Business department at our academy. The teacher will harness the potential to embed the Business Studies & Economics curriculum, within the landscape of today’s world and empower students with the critical mindset to analyse and future plan for society.   

You would be expected to develop, plan and deliver highly effective learning experiences to all students across every key stage and lead a transformational extracurricular offer.  

We are looking for someone who believes in building strong relationships with our students and is committed to supporting their journey of transformation, enabling them to realise their God-given potential.
