At Newcastle Sixth Form College we want to enable teachers to be their best; our standard full time teacher is responsible for four blocks of subject teaching (20 hours per week) and an hour of enrichment per week. In addition to this we offer pay, terms and conditions commensurate with schools and sixth form colleges.

We welcome applications from NQTs and experienced teachers from schools, sixth form colleges and other post-16 A Level providers. We expect our staff to be positive role models for young people and we celebrate our diverse community, therefore we encourage applications from everyone regardless of age, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, beliefs or disability.  For those new to teaching or who have less experience teaching Economics, we would still encourage you to apply as the department has within it the experience and track record of outstanding student outcomes in A-level Economics.  We will provide the training and support for the right candidate to have the same impact in their teaching.

“The college is amazing- I am treated with respect and I have more independence than when I was at school. It is a very safe environment and a good place to learn. I like the encouragement we receive as we are encouraged to aim high and are shown how to do achieve our goals”
