This is an exciting time to join The Charles Dickens School as it joins the Barton Court Academy Trust (BCAT) working in partnership with Barton Court Grammar School Academy, an outstanding rated co-educational grammar school in Canterbury. This new venture will see The Charles Dickens students and staff benefit from outstanding leadership and the sharing of best practice. The Trust is committed to excellence in professional development. 

An outstanding Teacher of Business Studies is required for either September 2017 or January 2018, in this over-subscribed non-selective, co-educational school which benefits from the state-of-the-art new buildings and is situated in a beautiful part of the South East coast. The School enjoys a good reputation locally, with dedicated colleagues and enthusiastic students. Staff hold high expectations for all students and work tirelessly to continue to raise attainment and achievement.  The successful candidate should be highly qualified, dynamic and able to deliver outstanding lessons. 

This post offers an excellent opportunity to work within a strong, successful and supportive department and would suit an enthusiastic NQT or a more experienced professional looking to further their expertise. The ability to teach Business Studies to GCSE is essential and Travel and Tourism desirable. 

We can offer either a permanent/fixed term contract on either full or part-time basis; the working basis can be discussed at interview.
