About the opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Business Studies or Business Studies/PE to join our outstanding and dynamic Humanities & Social Sciences and PE teams. The successful candidate will be able to teach Business and PE at both GCSE and preferably A level standard, bringing creativity and passion to their teaching.

Within the Humanities and Social Sciences faculty, the focus is to be active, engaging and creative in lessons. We encourage students to recognise the value of learning and be confident to take risks, under the encouragement and support from the teacher in class. We are looking for a qualified teacher (QTS) who is a committed professional with excellent communication skills and IT literate, with the ability to adapt to a variety of situations. You will be supported by a dedicated and passionate departments and will have many different tools at your disposal to provide the best experiences. Experience in delivery of a wide range of PE activities including swimming will be an advantage and it is expected that the appointee will contribute to our extensive range of extra- curricular activities.

About The Ridgeway School & Sixth Form College

The Ridgeway School & Sixth Form College has 1560 students, 200 of whom are in the Sixth Form. The Ridgeway School & Sixth Form College is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in Wroughton.  

The school was established in 1967 and was the first purpose-built comprehensive school in Wiltshire. We offer GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for students, while sixth form students have the option of studying a range of A-levels and further BTECs.
