About your school

Also established in 1972, Dover Court International School in Singapore is one of the leading inclusive British international schools in South East Asia.

The school caters to students from age 3 to age 18. The curriculum is based upon the UK EYFS framework, the National Curriculum for England, the IPC, IGCSE/GCSE and the IB Diploma Programme. The school is active in the local International School sports league and are extremely competitive across a number of sports. The school has an extensive programme of residential trips starting in Year 4 and continuing up into the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award. All students are involved in a wide range of after school activities mainly run by teaching staff. About 10% of our students are supported by our integrated SEN unit.

We are members of FOBISIA and CIS and will finalise CIS accreditation in November this year. We are an EDEXCEL and AQA exam centre and are authorised by the IBO to deliver the IB Diploma Programme. We are the only school in Singapore to offer ASDAN courses.

Staff are well supported with weekly CPD sessions run in-house and access to external training courses where they fit the school and personal development plans. There is a strong ethos of professional collegiality.

Global academic results for the 2018/19 academic year

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP)

This year’s average diploma score across NAE was 10 per cent higher than the global average.

Our groupwide average IB diploma score was 33 points out of 45, surpassing the 2018 average of 30.

34 NAE schools offered the IB diploma this year, with 1269 students sitting the exam.

More than 130 students across the family of schools achieved more than 40 points out of 45.

We also had four students achieve the perfect score of 45.

International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE)

50.1 per cent of grades at the equivalent of A*/A (grades 7-9 in the new GCSE framework), compared to 20.6 per cent of students across the UK achieving the same results.

A-levels

39 per cent of grades at A*/A, well above the global average of 25.2 per cent.

63.8 per cent of grades were A*/B for the year, also well above the global average of 51.1 per cent.

French Baccalaureate

100 per cent pass rate for the second year running from all three NAE schools offering this qualification: Collège Alpin Beau Soleil, Collège Champittet, Pully and Collège du Léman

32 per cent of students receiving “mentions très bien” for their diploma.
