About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a pioneering and enthusiastic Teacher of Business Studies to join Edgar Wood Academy as our very first Business Studies teacher. This unique role offers the chance to shape and lead the development of a new subject area, inspiring students to explore the dynamic world of business.
37 hours per week, term-time only.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality Business Studies lessons at Key Stage 4.
- Take a lead role in establishing and developing the Business Studies curriculum.
- Inspire students to develop critical thinking, entrepreneurial skills, and commercial awareness.
- Foster a learning environment that encourages innovation and problem-solving.
- Contribute to extracurricular opportunities that enrich students' understanding of the business world.

About You:
We are looking for a teacher who:
- Holds QTS and has experience delivering Business Studies lessons to a high standard (or the enthusiasm to do so).
- Is passionate about building a new subject and inspiring students to explore business concepts, economics, and entrepreneurship.
- Has excellent classroom management skills and builds positive relationships with learners.
- Is creative, adaptable, and ready to take on a pioneering role.
