Teacher of Chemistry – MPS + TLR (responsibilities to be confirmed)

Do you want to work in a successful and popular 11-18 Catholic school with an excellent reputation for academic success and whole person development? The school had a 100% 5A* - C pass rate with 78% 5A*- Cs inc. English and Maths in 2016. According to RAISEonline 2016 chemistry results at GCSE were outstanding. As a result we have thriving numbers who choose to study the subject at KS5. The successful applicant would join a passionate science department committed to delivering an inspiring curriculum. You will have excellent subject knowledge and will be able to lead and inspire the chemistry department to further success. 

The successful candidate will teach up to and including KS5. This post is also open to NQTs. For the right candidate there is also a teaching and learning responsibility available.

The post is effective from September 2017.

The school became part of The John Paul II Multi Academy Company with its Catholic partner primary schools on 1st January 2014.

Bishop Walsh Catholic School is a mixed, comprehensive, Roman Catholic secondary school with sixth form situated in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands. It converted to academy status in January 2014 and is supported by a multi-academy trust called John Paul II Multi-Academy, which sponsors four faith schools in the Midlands area. 

An average-sized secondary school, Bishop Walsh provides 1,067 places for students aged 11-18 when fully subscribed.
