Teacher of Chemistry

Furness Academy is a mixed comprehensive 11-16 academy with just under 800 students on roll. Following a £22m new build in 2013, the Academy occupies an attractive site, with state of the art facilities. We are looking for a talented and inspiring teacher of Chemistry who is an enthusiastic and dynamic professional with excellent subject knowledge and a strong desire to engage students in learning. The successful candidate will be someone who can make an impact to the teaching of chemistry in the Academy by leading by example as well as being supportive of other colleagues’ development in the department.   

An inspiring approach to teaching with excellent communication skills, a passion for the subject and a commitment to promoting high standards is essential. We are seeking teachers who are resilient, highly driven and self-motivated, who will go the extra mile to ensure that students achieve beyond their own expectations.
