The College is seeking to appoint a well-qualified, high performing and enthusiastic individual to the full-time post of Teacher of A Level Chemistry, who will lead and inspire students. The Chemistry department at Notre Dame Catholic Sixth Form College is extremely high performing with a track record of achieving Outstanding ALPs value added for the last three years.

CHEMISTRY at Notre Dame Catholic Sixth Form College

The Chemistry department is lively, dynamic and progressive in terms of its approaches to delivering A level Chemistry for around 250 students.  The department also supports the Applied Science department in delivery of Chemistry units on BTEC Level 3 Applied Science. The specifications followed are that of the AQA Board.

There is a friendly and professional atmosphere within the department and a strong emphasis on encouraging a positive rapport between staff and students in the pursuit of academic success. Within the department there is a wealth of experience and professional knowledge and an encouragement to undertake CPD. We would welcome applications from recently qualified teachers and NQTs.

The department has made a major contribution to the academic standing of the College, both locally and nationally. We have been particularly successful this year in terms of the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge with many students achieving the Bronze, Silver or Gold award.
