The Oldershaw School is an 11-19 co-educational comprehensive situated in the borough of Wirral, which is an easy commute from Liverpool and Chester. We have a proud history of a hundred years of success and we believe in the very highest standards and expectations to provide a rich and challenging education for each and every student and have very recently been rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted.
We are committed to supporting our staff and can offer a generous Pension Scheme, Death in Service Benefits, Employee Assistance Programme, Occupational Health, Free Parking and a Bike to Work Scheme.
We are seeking to appoint an inspiring, innovative and highly motivated Teacher for Children with MLD or Primary Teacher to join a passionate and experienced team. We have a large resource base onsite for students with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) who have an EHCP but who are unable to fully access a mainstream education. The resource base allows students with MLD to be able to access mainstream education where they receive a meaningful and personalised education whilst integrating within a mainstream setting.
Students are taught by specialist staff with the support of Curriculum Support Workers. Students do also access mainstream lessons in the main school where it is appropriate for them to do so.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a team who truly aim to make a difference, not only to students’ academic success, but also in developing pride, kindness and resilience.
If you believe that you could contribute to our team, we would like to hear from you.
Further details and an application pack can be obtained from the school’s website. Please apply using the school’s application form and submit it to HR@oldershaw.wirral.sch.uk together with a covering letter and CV supporting your application.
