We have an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified or experienced Teacher of Classics to play a key role in a successful Classics Department.

As an inspirational and dynamic Classics teacher you will use your up-to-date subject knowledge and experience of teaching Latin and Classical Civilisation to GCSE and A Level to provide an excellent education for all the pupils you teach. You will teach with expertise and enthusiasm, offering support to the learning of individual students and also contribute to the school’s pastoral system.

You will benefit from working in a thriving department, which offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities. The department runs annual trips to Bath and Italy; has an extracurricular Classics society with notable guest speakers; and recently held its first Classics Conference.

Bromley High School occupies a 25-acre parkland site in leafy Bickley, in Kent. Easily accessible by train from central London, it offers space to breathe with the convenience of the city on its doorstep.

In 2021, the school’s first ever Steinway Scholar won a place to read Music at Oxford.

Sport is also exceptional: with 25 acres of top class facilities including a beautiful pool, new fitness suite, sports hall, gym, track and floodlit courts and pitches, providing the perfect environment in which to develop girls’ love of sport. Bromley High School has achieved huge successes in sport at regional and national level. The school’s under 16 team reached the National Hockey finals and were placed 3rd in the country and in 2021, Year 12 pupil Evie Davis won two gold medals with Team GB at the European Swimming Championships.
