Job overview

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic teacher of Computer Science and ICT to join our large and developing department. Computer science is taught at all Key Stages. At KS3 we offer one lesson a week to all students and cover a variety of computer science and ICT topics. At KS4 GCSE Computer Science and Cambridge Nationals in Creative I media are available as optional subjects, whilst at KS5 we offer AQA Computer Science at A Level as well as the level 3 Cambridge Technical introductory diploma in IT. In addition, the ability to teach other subjects would be an advantage but is not essential. 

The person we are seeking will:

  • be passionate about Computer Science and ICT and have the desire to share that passion with students.
  • be an innovative and inspiring classroom teacher.
  • be able to work and learn collaboratively in a large and diverse team.
  • be reflective and eager to develop their teaching skills.

Little Heath School is a highly successful comprehensive school (1610 on roll, including 320 in the Sixth Form) situated in a pleasant semi-rural setting to the west of Reading, with good access to road and rail links.
