ISA Co-educational Day School with 650 pupils on roll (3 – 18)

Teacher of Computer Science  required for September 2021

Closing date for applications is midday on Friday 20 August 2021. Due to the need to appoint quickly we reserve the right to interview and appoint at any stage of the process.

We require for September 2021 a well-qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of Computer Science to join our thriving school. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills combined with the ability to motivate students, whilst retaining a sense of fun.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and engaging teacher of ICT from September 2019. The successful candidate will work alongside our lead teacher of ICT to deliver Computer Science to KS3, 4 and 5 and BTEC IT at Levels 2 and 3.

This is an exciting time in the development of Computer Science teaching and we are looking for someone who is willing to embrace new initiatives and take our students’ technology learning to another level. Computer Science and BTEC IT have grown in popularity over the last few years and we are expanding our team as a result. You will appreciate the importance of Information Communications Technology applications and the need for all our students to be conversant and confident with their use. However, you will also have the knowledge and ability to inspire those who have an academic interest in Computer Science and the knowledge of appropriate GCSE and A Level examination specifications to support this.

Our school motto is ‘Life Long Love of Learning’ and to that end we follow the simple view that pupils who enjoy the subject will engage in it, grow in confidence and will have the opportunity to excel. If you feel that you can play a strong and supportive role, both through the curriculum and also the many extra-curricular activities we offer, we would be delighted to hear from you.

NQTs are very welcome to apply and we would also consider part time applications.

If you feel you have the qualities we are looking for we would like to hear from you.
