Job overview

Tes is supporting the appointment of a Teacher of Computer Science to join a High School based in Wandsworth.

Following the creation of their brand-new Faculty of Creative Visual Arts and Technology, and the continued success of their sector-leading coding programme, they are looking to expand their exceptional team.

The Computer Science Department is vibrant, innovative and academically excellent. They inspire students across Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 by blending robust theoretical foundations with engaging, hands-on, creative projects. Their curriculum features Python as their primary language, complemented by JavaScript at A-Level and C# for creative work with Meta Quest environments. They are committed to expanding their provision in robotics, VR/XR development, coding and esports, supporting both local and national competitions and challenges.

As a department, they are collaborative, enthusiastic and forward-thinking, valuing a strong grasp of GCSE and A-Level content alongside a keen interest in emerging tech fields. They welcome dynamic applicants eager to inspire the next generation of digital innovators.

An ability to teach KS3 Mathematics, or expertise in robotics, 3D printing or Design Thinking would be an advantage.

ECTs are strongly encouraged to apply, and full support and mentorship will be provided.
